This policy applies only to information we collect in this App and electronic communications sent through e-mail, text and other electronic messages between you and the App.
This policy DOES NOT apply to information that:
We collect offline or on any other University apps or websites, including websites you may access through this App.

If you do not agree with our policies and practices, do not allow your child to download, register with, or use this App. By your child downloading, registering with, or using this App, you agree to this privacy policy. This policy may change from time to time (see Changes to Our Privacy Policy). Your child’s continued use of this App after we revise this policy means you accept those changes, so please check the policy periodically for updates.
The App is not intended for children under 12 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under [12]. When your child downloads, accesses, and uses the App, it may use technology to automatically collect:
Usage Details. When your child accesses and uses the App, we may automatically collect certain details of their access to and use of the App, including [traffic data,] [logs,] [and other] communication data and the resources that your child accesses and uses on or through the App.

Cookies (or mobile cookies). A cookie is a small file placed on your smartphone. It may be possible to refuse to accept mobile cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your smartphone. However, if you select this setting you may be unable to access certain parts of our App.
When your child uses the App or its content, certain third parties may use automatic information collection technologies to collect information about you/your child or their device. These third parties may include:

We use information that we collect about your child or that your child provides to us, including any personal information, to:
Provide your child with the App and its contents, and any other information, products or services that your child requests from us.
Fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it.
Notify your child when App updates are available, and of changes to any products or services we offer or provide though it.
The usage information we collect helps us to improve our App and to deliver a better and more personalized experience by enabling us to:
Estimate usage patterns.
Store information about your child’s preferences, allowing us to customize our App according to your child’s individual interests.
Recognize your child when they use the App.
This App is HIPAA compliant. Your Choices About Our Collection, Use, and Disclosure of Your Child’s Information
We strive to provide you/your child with choices regarding the personal information you/your child provide to us. This section describes mechanisms we provide for you/your child to control certain uses and disclosures of your child’s information.
Tracking Technologies. You/your child can set their browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. We cannot delete your personal information by also deleting your user account. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.
If your child deletes their User Contributions from the App, copies of their User Contributions may remain viewable in cached and archived pages. Proper access and use of information provided on the App, including User Contributions, is governed by our terms of use [LINK TO TERMS OF USE].
We have implemented measures designed to secure your child’s personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. [All information your child provides to us is stored on our secure servers behind firewalls. The safety and security of your child’s information also depends on you/your child. Where we have given your child (or where your child has chosen) a password for access to certain parts of our App, you/your child are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you/your child not to share your password with anyone.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet and mobile platforms is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your child’s personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your child’s personal information transmitted through our App. Any transmission of your child’s personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures we provide.
We may update our privacy policy from time to time.
